- How quickly can a Bulgarian OOD (LLC) be registered?
- Registration of a Bulgarian OOD in the Commercial Register takes 3–5 business days from submission of a complete application. The minimum share capital is BGN 2 (approximately EUR 1). Foreign nationals can be sole owners and directors — there is no residency requirement. The company can be incorporated remotely via notarised and apostilled power of attorney.
- Can a foreign national be the sole owner of a Bulgarian company?
- Yes. There are no restrictions on foreign individuals or legal entities owning 100% of the share capital in a Bulgarian OOD or EOOD (single-member LLC). The director may manage the company remotely. A Bulgarian bank account can be opened with a notarised power of attorney — it does not require the director's physical presence in Bulgaria.
