Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This Cookie Policy applies to the website global-lex-consulting.com (the “Website”), operated by Global Lex Consulting. It explains which cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how you can manage your choices. Our processing of personal data more generally is described in our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and why are they used?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), work in a comparable way — in this policy we refer to all of them as “cookies”.
By necessity:
- Strictly necessary — without them the Website cannot work properly or remember your cookie choice. They do not require consent (Art. 4a(2) of the Bulgarian Electronic Communications Act; Art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC).
- Analytics — help us understand how the Website is used (number of visits, most-read pages). Used only with your explicit consent.
- External content — embedded third-party services (e.g. a map) that may set their own cookies. Loaded only when you ask for them.
By duration: session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
By origin: first-party cookies are set by the Website; third-party cookies are set by external providers.
2. Which cookies do we use?
Strictly necessary (always active)
| Name | Provider | Type / duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
glc_cookie_consent | Global Lex Consulting (first-party) | Local storage, 12 months | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask on every visit. Contains no personal data and is not shared with third parties. |
Analytics (only with your consent)
| Name | Provider | Type / duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4) | Persistent, 2 years | Distinguishes individual visitors so we can measure the number of visits and traffic sources. |
_ga_W5HEWNN6JN | Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics 4) | Persistent, 2 years | Stores session state for statistical purposes. |
These cookies are set, and the Google Analytics script is loaded, only after you click “Accept analytics”. If you reject or make no choice, no information about your visit is sent to Google. We use the statistics in aggregate form only and do not use them for advertising or profiling.
External content (only on your action)
| Name | Provider | Type / duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
NID and other Google cookies | Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Maps) | Third-party, up to 6 months | Set by Google only if you click “Show map” on the Contact page. Google uses them for its own purposes, described in Google’s privacy policy. |
What we do not use: advertising or marketing cookies, social media pixels, or remarketing. The site’s fonts are served from our own server, not from Google. The contact forms do not set cookies. The Facebook and WhatsApp buttons are plain links — Meta receives data only once you open them.
3. How can you manage cookies?
You can give or withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time using the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics and delete the analytics cookies from our domain. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s privacy settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. If you block strictly necessary storage, we will ask for your consent on every visit.
4. Transfers outside the EU
Google Ireland Ltd. may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023), under which Google LLC is certified, and on standard contractual clauses.
5. Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and the date at the top. If we add new optional cookies, we will ask for your consent again.
